This program encourages families to read 1,000 books with their children before they enter kindergarten.

Put reading first with 20 minutes a day spent reading to your children. 
Make it fun and exciting. Be imaginative.

If you read just 1 book a day, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years, and 1,095 books in just three years!

How does 1000 Books work?

·   Register Online Here – Parents you can create an account first to easily monitor your children's activity.

·   Track Your Reading – Log every book you read with your child here! 

·   Keep Reading! – Prepare your child for kindergarten by reaching 1,000 books before they enter kindergarten.

This program is designed for kids age 0 to 4 to encourage life-long reading habits. Once you've earned enough points you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share! And, at 500 and 1000 points, you earn a book!

This program is designed for teens age 13 to 17 to encourage life-long reading habits. Once you've earned enough points you'll receive a completion certificate you can print and share!

This program is designed for adults age 18 & up to encourage life-long reading habits. 

Every minute you read, you earn a point! Log the number of minutes you read a day to earn points!

More ways you can earn points:

• Log minutes ie. 60 mins = 60 pts
• Attend programs
• Complete missions (Only adult books count towards the missions!)

Once you've earned 1000 points, you'll receive a complete certificate and a prize!

Prizes will be awarded for completing Reading Challenges!
Prizes are limited to 3 gift cards per person.

Participation in the Adult Summer Reading Program gives you the chance to enter your name into a weekly raffle drawing!
