Skating The Law
by Rachael O. Phillips

Interesting book. Good characters.

Stephen Colbert's Midnight Confessions
by Stephen Colbert

With due respect to the holy Catholic Church, I thought this was one of the funniest books I have ever read! It made me laugh and think at the same time. Not only did Stephen Colbert put together a laugh-out-loud funny book, but he sheds light on mistakes we all make and makes them seem less guilt-inducing and shameful. Nobody is perfect, but this is a hilarious look at the human condition in America today. Read it if you have ever done anything to confess!

A Gift Of Hope
by Danielle Steel

Interesting book. Good thoughtful book.

The Christmas Riddle
by Susan Sleeman

One of the weakest, uninterestering stories I have ever read.

The Wedding Planner
by Danielle Steel

Interesting story.

Beyond The Bell
by Melissa Pyrch

Even though I have been out of high school almost 45 years, I still enjoy a great lesson! Melissa Pyrch is an amazing storyteller as she weaves a story to help graduates navigate adulthood. I related to her story of navigating choosing a major, dealing with down times, and even choosing a husband she will spend the rest of her life adoring. These stories are relatable to everyone from 18 to 88. We are all learning to make good choices!

I Swear Politics is Messier Than My Minivan
by Katie Porter

Katie Porter is a politician from California, more than that, she is a working mom of 3 school--age children and a former bankruptcy law professor. Her insights into how government can help families made me stop and think about government's role in supporting citizens. She is definitely a right-to-know politician and is very clear that changes need to be made. I read this book to find out what our government is doing. Iowa-born Katie Porter shows how midwest values can be applied to making better laws. Read this book to find out what politics is really about!

Agatha Raisin: Devil's Delight
by M.C. Beaton

Different book. Story not always connected.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson
by John Green

John Green and David Levithan tell a great story about modern life in high school. The story takes place in the Chicago area and moves about as the characters leave the confines of school to get themselves emotionally healthy. I enjoyed how the young men (Will Grayson and the "other" Will Grayson) work together to help their other friend Tiny Cooper. I also enjoyed the switching narrative between both Wills as they deal with relationships, depression, and identity. Great book for helping young people through rough times.
