Will Grayson, Will Grayson
by John Green

View in Library Catalog

John Green and David Levithan tell a great story about modern life in high school. The story takes place in the Chicago area and moves about as the characters leave the confines of school to get themselves emotionally healthy. I enjoyed how the young men (Will Grayson and the "other" Will Grayson) work together to help their other friend Tiny Cooper. I also enjoyed the switching narrative between both Wills as they deal with relationships, depression, and identity. Great book for helping young people through rough times.

Sectets in death

Again a thriller that keeps you not want to put the book down. Eve Dallas & her partner, Delia Peabody are a perfect match at crime solving. Not to forget Eve's husband, Roarke & Delia's significant other, McNabb who add their detective abilities @ helping solve the crimes, humor, & romance to the adventute. They are all good at what they do & in the process keep the reader interested throughout the story.

This book is very inspirational in the fact you can see how someone can fight for a cause they believe in and succeed. It is a book of 8 black American women's biographies, who dedicated their lives to the betterment of the lives of black women. They became influential in several areas: politics, civil rights activism , journalism, & entrepreneurism and left their mark in history. I was in awe of the women's bravery.

Code Girls
by Liza Mundy

This amazing book tells the untold story of American Woman Code Breakers during World War II. I was enthralled by all the information and research that Liza Mundy did for this book. Having relatives that were involved in World War II, but never sharing their experiences, this book opened up many never before told tales of what was happening in the world of code-breaking. I wish more was written about the African American ladies who broke codes, but not much was written about them.
